Lola by Marc Jacobs – My New FAVORITE Scent

September 25, 2009

I ordered the 3.4 FL Oz bottle of Lola by Marc Jacobs (pictured above) from for $85. I bought this after falling in love with it one day last month when Bloomingdale’s was doing a promo for it. The bottle is artwork in itself, but the scent, AMAZING!!!

At first spray it can be rather loud – blooming with a signature note of the fuschia peony, top-notes of pink peppercorn, seductive pear d’Anjou and ruby red grapefruit. But, it doesn’t stay loud at all. As Lola wears down it becomes warmer, deeper, muskier, sweeter, and more vanilla-like. A very sexy scent in my opinion.

Review: E.L.F. Cosmetics Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloth

September 24, 2009
Product Description: Gently and easily cleans skin to remove all traces of makeup and dirt, even waterproof mascara. Great for on-the-go travel. Gentle cloths are soft and soothing for even the most sensitive skin. Infused with Aloe Vera Extract for deep hydration and moisture.
Quantity: 20 Pre-moistened cloths included.
Price: $3.00
Where to purchase:
My thoughts: Good product for the price. You get what you pay for. Especially good for removing face makeup (light foundation, powder, blush, eye shadow). Since it isn’t oil-based, it doesn’t do the best job in taking off waterproof mascara’s or liner. That’s not to say that they don’t work – it just takes some extra effort, more product and time to really remove the more difficult products. You may go through a lot of the product, but since it’s so cheap it shouldn’t be an issue.
I didn’t like the heavy residue feeling it left after using them. So don’t think you can just get away with using the wipes without washing your face afterward.
I bought these because I thought I would be able to skip washing the makeup off on the nights I was coming home late from being out all night, and feeling super lazy. .:WOMP WOMP:. Aaaaaaand they were cheap. I feel like I still have to use what I was using before, which is Neutrogena’s Deep Clean Invigorating Ultra Foam Cleanser ($6.99 at any drugstore). This product works really well in taking all of the makeup off (even the waterproof stuff). It also leaves your skin with a nice, tingly, clean feeling.
Would I buy it again? Probably not. I’ll use what I have now since I bought two packs. After those are done. I’m done with it. I’d rather have a product that does the job well all in one shot.
