Sigma Makeup Brush Review

June 27, 2009

Initially, purchased the essentials face brush kit. I was impressed with them so, I tried to order the eye kit. That was unfortunately sold out, so I ended up purchasing three single eye brushes. Apparently the Sigma Makeup company re-stocks their brushes at the beginning of the month, so that would be the best time to order.

My eye brushes came in the mail quickly, in a red organza bag, along with a pamphlet with tips on how to use the brushes when applying makeup.

Sigma Makeup Brushes are the high-quality, affordable “knock-off” version of the expensive MAC makeup brushes. If you are not serious about makeup, but just like to play in it a little, and you don’t want to spend money on expensive brushes, these are for you. Remember: Great/flawless makeup application depends highly on the tools you use.
I noticed that with the SS109 brush, there was a little shedding, but after washing the brush off with Artistry’s Brush Cleaner, there was minimal to no shedding.
I used the SS187 brush to apply my Mineralize Skinfinish powder in Gold Deposit, it worked perfectly (see the other pics in my blog) for applying a light airbrushed look.
Overall, I thought the brushes were great, especially for the price. May even be better than MAC brushes in my honest opinion. I recommend you try them out.
